Parenzo, Euphrasian Basilica: impost capital decorated with Sassanid ornamental motifs. The superimposed dosseret bears the monogram of the bishop Euphrasius.
The relief, which represents Christ and two Apostles, has been cut from one side of a column sarcophagus, from the district of Samatya (Psamathia), in Istanbul. Perhaps, it was firstly re-used as an ornamental relief, in the church of St. Stephen.
